Heathrow airport is located 32 km from central London, is one of the most advanced airports and travelled the world, with over 60 million passengers each year. Some 100 companies operating at the airport to nearly 200 destinations.
In the vicinity of the airport there are 17 hotels to be easily reached with the Heathrow Hotel Hoppa bus, which leaves every 15 minutes to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and every half hour from Terminal 4. It costs about 3 pounds each trip. The Express station is located 15 minutes walk from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and 20 minutes from Terminal 4.

Heathrow airport Terminals:
1. Domestic flights, most airlines Britain into Europe, and the companies and South African Airways.
2. Flights from British companies not bound for Europe and some long-haul destinations.
3. Terminal long distance to the United States, South America, Asia-Pacific and Africa.
4. Long-distance flights from British Airways and some European flights. Also KLM flights and Qantas.
Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are together in the central part of the airport complex and are connected by conveyor belts. The distance between each is long and can take up to 10 minutes. The 4 is in the south and to access it there is a special train, the Heathrow Express, which provides a free service. Following the signs is easy.

The rush to central London takes about an hour and tariffs around the 55/70 pounds. |
